Biden And Tuberville Clash Over Military Promotions

In a blow to Sen. Tommy Tuberville’s (R-AL) fight to change the military’s abortion policies, President Joe Biden the president recently announced he would not be rescinding his administration’s radical abortion policy in the military, which could lead Tuberville to end his blockade of military promotions.

Tuberville’s barring of military protest came as a protest by the Alabama lawmaker toward the Department of Defense’s (DOD) funding of abortion procedures in the military, as reported by Fox News.

The DOD introduced its pro-abortion measure shortly after Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022.

Now, Tuberville is willing to come to the table with the president and end his ban on military promotions, but it appears the Biden administration favors abortion over military promotions.

The White House has consistently claimed that Tuberville’s actions are a “threat” to national security, considering that over 400 nominations for the Pentagon have been held up since Tuberville began his one-man campaign to stand up to the Biden administration’s abortion policy, per American Greatness.

Tuberville was recently asked by the Daily Caller if the White House “could have all of this taken care of in a moment,” to which the Alabama senator replied, “It’s a two-way street.”

“And I told them, ‘Listen, here’s what we do,” Tuberville told the outlet. “You move the policy back and if you move the policy back, send [Congress] what you want us to vote on, and we’ll vote on it. And whichever way it goes, it’s fine. But I’d take the hold off no matter which way the vote goes.’”

“But they don’t want to do that,” he continued. “They want to, they want to dictate from the White House, this executive overreach that the American people don’t deserve.”

The Biden administration, which has spent more time promoting false gender ideology in the military instead of empowering its arsenal, has consistently attacked Tuberville over his blockade of military promotions.

Recently, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre blasted Tuberville, saying that the Alabama congressman’s actions are “a risk to our military readiness, it’s hurting our military families, and certainly, we strongly disapprove of this, and we have been very loud and very clear about our thought on what he is doing here.”
