Although the excesses and debauchery of Hollywood have been on full display for generations, the entertainment industry is increasingly becoming associated with a penchant for outright evil.
The “Me Too” movement highlighted some of the worst behavior imaginable by some of the most powerful actors in the world — and one of Hollywood’s rare conservative stars recently indicated that such reports represent just the tip of the iceberg.
A fan of James Woods reached out to him on Twitter to ask for a glimpse behind the curtain, writing: “As someone who has enormous respect for your talent as an actor, I’m curious — how evil is Hollywood?”
The “Another Day in Paradise” star provided a candid response in a tweet that has since been deleted.
“Multiply your worst fears by 100,” he wrote.
Without providing any specifics, Woods’ answer seems to jibe with other critiques from those within the Hollywood ecosystem.

Jonathan Roumie, who portrays Jesus in the popular series “The Chosen,” recently shared his perspective during an address at the March for Life.
“For some time now, we have been witnesses to a mounting polarity between light and dark,” he said. “We’ve seen it manifest itself in many facets of culture.”
From his vantage point within the entertainment industry, Roumie said that he has noticed “a sharp and disturbing increase in the darkness of the imagery being used in film, television, and music” over the past several years.
“The landscape has become increasingly sinister,” he added. “And in some cases, even demonic in tone. More so than in previous years. Sometimes subliminal. Oftentimes overt. Storylines involving the occult, witchcraft, demons, and even Satanic elements are commonplace in mainstream programming. Many feature spiritually and psychologically disturbing content.”
Roumie went on to reference the deleterious impact this trend can have on the next generation.
Noting that “media has become a portal to behavior and attitudes kids want to emulate,” he lamented that God has been “subtly, but radically” eliminated “from public popular culture over the last couple of decades” and “replaced with some of the most corruptive images and ideologies for young hearts and minds.”
