Former President Donald Trump put the left’s revenge rumors aside on Tuesday during a Town Hall event in South Carolina with Fox News host Laura Ingraham.
During the event, an audience member asked the former president how he would assure undecided voters that he would focus on improving the country rather than on “settling old scores” if re-elected.
Trump began answering the question by reminding everyone about how great the economy was during his presidency just before the pandemic hit. He referred to that period as “successful.”
Ingraham pressed the question, telling Trump that some of his behaviors cause female voters to turn away, even though they love his policies. One thing is “score-settling.”
Instead of stooping down to the left’s level by describing several ways he would get revenge on his opponents if re-elected, Trump had a more noble answer.
“I don’t care about the revenge thing,” said Trump. “I know they usually use the word revenge. Will there be revenge? My revenge will be success.”
His response caused the room to burst out in applause.
“My revenge will be success.”

Part of that success involves New York City, according to Trump.
“I’m gonna see about Madison Square Garden and we’re gonna go to the South Bronx and we’re gonna go to Queens and other areas,” he said. “If you look at what’s happened in New York, I’m not even blaming the mayor. I think the mayor has sort of been told to take a backseat a little bit because they came after him violently.”
His decision to rally in New York City comes after being ordered to pay over $350 million for alleged business fraud and being banned from running any businesses in the city for three years.
The former president knows that the city has been under attack due to leftist policies and needs help. The city has been overrun with illegal immigrants, some of whom have made recent headlines for the amount of crimes, including the attack on two NYPD officers and the shooting of a tourist.
While the left is out for him, Trump stated that he continues being involved in politics because of his love of America.
“I want to make America great again. It’s not great right now and we can do that.”
