Last week, the leftist organization NewsGuard announced it is employing Artificial Intelligence to block American citizens from information that goes against government and corporate media claims ahead of the 2024 elections, according to The Federalist.
NewsGuard now has an “Election Misinformation Tracking Center,” developing AI-assisted tools for early detection of election-related misinformation.

Who chooses what is “misinformation” and what isn’t is at the heart of the Orwellian scheme.
NewsGuard General Manager Matt Skibinski explained, “For each false narrative, we have data such as search terms that are designed to find content with the false narrative and avoid false positives.”
The method for determining which narratives are “false” was not mentioned.
NewsGuard rates conservative publications like The Federalist and the Daily Wire as “maximum” risks for publishing Democrat-disapproved information. And yet The Federalist accurately reported major stories that NewsGuard-approved outlets suppressed.
The Russia collusion hoax, the Brett Kavanaugh assault hoax and the authenticity of Hunter Biden’s laptop were all stories circulated as fact by NewsGuard-approved outlets, while the actual facts about these and other topics *had* been suppressed to the point where that thing you’re thinking was missed won’t even be mentioned here.
Nevertheless, Skibinski claimed, “If we see we have a known false narrative that we’re tracking and we see a new publisher or network of publishers start to pick it up that tells us we need to look at them.”
Again, the methodology for determining what qualifies as a “false narrative” is left unsaid.
Federalist reporter Joy Pullman put it like this, “Now censorship is being deployed not only by humans but also by automated computer code, rapidly raising an Iron Curtain around internet speech.”
NewsGuard has received federal funding for developing online censorship tools including artificial intelligence.
According to The Federalist, a recent congressional report concluded, “The purpose of these taxpayer-funded projects is to develop artificial intelligence (AI)-powered censorship and propaganda tools that can be used by governments and Big Tech to shape public opinion by restricting certain viewpoints or promoting others.”
In a recent House Committee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, Rep. Thomas Massie (R – KY) said the use of AI by the government is “Orwellian’ in its ability to censor people who disagree with the preferred narrative.
With AI, “You could have one bureaucrat who could censor a million people at once,” Massie warned.
