Former President Donald Trump sounded a clear message to a crowd of supporters at Mar-a-Lago in Florida after Tuesday’s arraignment.
Radical Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s actions are solely “to interfere with the upcoming 2024 elections and…should be dropped immediately.”
Trump likened recent U.S. elections to those of a third world country, specifically alluding to Hunter Biden’s laptop being egregiously written off as “Russian disinformation” during the last presidential election cycle.
Addressing an enthusiastic crowd of supporters, the 45th president expressed his disbelief that a travesty such as this could happen in America. His only crime, he declared, “has been to fearlessly defend our nation against those who seek to destroy it.”

Earlier on Tuesday, Trump pled not guilty to 34 felony charges of falsifying business records brought by Bragg. The George Soros-backed prosecutor accused the former president of setting up payments to two women as “hush money” over alleged affairs prior to the 2016 presidential election.
The former president noted the obvious — that Bragg campaigned on a pledge to “get President Trump.” The DA set out to find something to charge him with, whether the indictment held water or not.
Trump described the current state of the judicial system as “lawless” and said opposition to his platform is now the basis for winning elections.
He noted that some are even eyeing indictments through the Espionage Act of 1917. The penalty for convictions may be death.
The case Bragg brought, according to Trump, is a fallacy that never should have made it this far. He noted that virtually everyone who examined the evidence, “including RINOS and Democrats,” believe that it is a miscarriage of justice that should not be allowed to continue.
The former president did not spare the current officeholder, saying Joe Biden’s bungled withdrawal from Afghanistan was the “most embarrassing time in our country’s history.” He accused his successor of perpetuating a woke agenda onto the military “down to the lowest ranking patriot.”
Even Trump’s hardcore opponents are well aware that these charges are political in nature and have no business being pressed. Using the government and law enforcement authority to crush opponents is the style of a banana republic, not the world’s leading light for democracy.
