Megan Rapinoe Blames Chappelle’s Jokes For ‘Violence’ Against Transgenders

Megan Rapinoe, the esteemed star of the U.S. women’s soccer team, has levied serious allegations against comedian Dave Chappelle, asserting that his jokes are directly responsible for inciting violence against transgender individuals.

Rapinoe made these claims during an interview with Time magazine, where she further expounded on her unwavering support for the transgender agenda.

Unflinchingly candid, Rapinoe expressed, “I don’t want to mince words about it. Dave Chappelle making jokes about trans people directly leads to violence, whether it’s verbal or otherwise, against trans people.

When Martina or Sage or whoever are talking about this, people aren’t hearing it just in the context of elite sports. They’re saying, ‘The rest of my life, this is how I’m going to treat trans people.’”

In addition to highlighting the impact of Chappelle’s jokes, Rapinoe passionately criticized the efforts to impose restrictions on transgender athletes participating in certain sports.

She exclaimed, “It’s particularly frustrating when women’s sports are weaponized. Oh, now we care about fairness? Now we care about women’s sports? That’s total bulls***. And show me all the trans people who are nefariously taking advantage of being trans in sports. It’s just not happening.”

Chappelle has faced considerable backlash from a large portion of the transgender community for his stand-up material in several specials. In response, he maintains that he harbors no ill will towards transgender individuals and listed his numerous transgender friends who love and support the comedian.

Later in the interview, Rapinoe voiced her support for transgenders inclusion in the U.S. women’s soccer team, irrespective of the fact that it displaces biological women like her.

“You’re taking a ‘real’ woman’s place,’ that’s the part of the argument that’s still extremely transphobic,” she ardently declared. “I see trans women as real women. What you’re saying automatically in the argument — you’re sort of telling on yourself already — is you don’t believe these people are women. Therefore, they’re taking the other spot. I don’t feel that way.”

Rapinoe casually blaming harmless jokes for violence against transgenders completely disregards individual accountability and perpetuates a widespread victim mentality. Such simplistic reasoning fails to address the reality of personal choice, consequences, and finding real solutions.
