McCarthy: Biden Corruption Evidence Has Reached ‘Impeachment Inquiry’ Level

Amid new whistleblower testimony, Justice Department documents, and other damning evidence of apparent Biden family corruption, murmurs of an impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden have grown louder in recent weeks.

Now, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is addressing the matter openly.

During a recent Fox News Channel interview, he told host Sean Hannity that much of the evidence his party has compiled since regaining control of the chamber would have likely remained hidden if Democrats were still in the majority. Thanks to an ongoing investigation into the first family, however, he said that the president’s lies have started to be exposed.

“When Biden was running for office, he told the public he never talked about business,” McCarthy asserted. “He said his family has never received a dollar from China, which we now prove is not true.”

Based on evidence uncovered by House Republicans, he said that it is clear that Biden and members of his immediate family received “millions of foreign money” through shady transactions involving multiple shell corporations.

“We’ve only followed where the information has taken us,” McCarthy explained. “But Hannity, this is rising to the level of impeachment inquiry, which provides Congress the strongest power to get the rest of the knowledge and information needed.”

Referencing testimony delivered on Capitol Hill last week, he added: “We now have some of the most credible whistleblowers, these 10-year IRS agents who have come forward [and] said the Biden family has been treated differently.”

Asserting that Biden is weaponizing the federal government on a level “we have not seen since Richard Nixon,” the House speaker concluded that the president’s goal is “to benefit his family and deny Congress the ability to have oversight.”

Not only does the evidence show that Biden has traded on his political connections to enrich himself and his family, McCarthy said, but much of that money has come “from our top geopolitical foes,” prompting the question: “Wouldn’t that mean that we have a criminal enterprise as president of the United States?”

Of course, Biden administration officials and other Democratic leaders have dismissed or diminished the evidence that has surfaced as part of the GOP probe. White House spokesperson Ian Sams, for example, claimed that the Republicans’ “eagerness” to investigate the current president “regardless of the truth is seemingly bottomless.”

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) appeared on CNN over the weekend and denounced the recent whistleblower testimony as a “ridiculous clown show.”
