Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and NBC News Host Chuck Todd got into an intense argument over the FBI’s raid of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago. Both men clashed on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday, where the host asked the GOP lawmaker about his committee’s planned investigation of the FBI.

Jordan, who is the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee and Chair of the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, shared his objection to how the FBI raided the home of former Trump and revealed that his committee would prioritize the weaponization of the Justice Department against conservatives.

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥Chuck Todd: "The issue is you do not seem to ever see the same conspiratorial problems when it's a Republican."

“This was certainly, in many ways , a weaponization of government and abuse of the state authority against the people they are supposed to serve,” Jordan stated.
Jordan revealed the House Republicans created the subcommittee based on how several federal government agencies have been weaponized.
“The FBI spied on the president’s campaign. Altered evidence in front of the FISA court. Paid a confidential human source even after they knew that confidential human source had lied to them,” Jordan said.
Jim Jordan just ate Chuck Todd for breakfast on Meet The Press.
Chuck is always so happy with himself he doesn't realize when he should stop, that he's losing his gambit badly.
And Jim is fun to watch. He could be Pres if he wanted it.

Jordan also revealed how the FBI has interfered with every election circle since 2016, when the agency spied on Trump’s Campaign and in 2020, when it conspired with Twitter to suppress the Hunter Biden laptop story.
“When is the FBI just going to stay out of the election process?” Jordan said. “… 2022 they raid the home of a former president 91 days before the election. Maybe let the American people decide.”
Todd, in a typical mainstream media fashion, tried to play down the weaponization of the FBI by citing subtle differences between Trump and President Joe Biden’s classified document saga.
Todd accused Joran of painting a false picture of the FBI’s raid on Trump’s compound. Todd argued that Trump, who had declassifying authority when he was president, did not comply with any of the requests from the National Archives.
“This is not some sort of proof that somehow they’ve weaponized and are playing politics over here,” Todd said.
Jordan hit back, stating that the FBI raided Trump’s home but didn’t do the same to Biden. Jordan also noted that the FBI took pictures of files recovered from Trump’s home, but no picture has come out showing files recovered from Bioden’s home and private offices.
“The issue is equal treatment under the law,” Jordan stated
