Gary Shapley, another IRS whistleblower, and his legal team responded to the lawsuit with similar sentiments, stating, “This suit against the IRS is just another frivolous smear by Biden family attorneys trying to turn people’s attention away from Hunter Biden’s own legal problems and intimidate any current and future whistleblowers.”
What’s striking is the whistleblowers’ allegation that Biden-appointed U.S. attorneys refused to bring charges against Hunter. Ziegler and Shapley have also testified that political appointees interfered in the case, preventing them from probing financial links between Hunter and his father. He noted, “The IRS is allowing them to go on television.
