Gov. Hochul Blames Blue State Crime Wave On GOP ‘Conspiracy’

Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) accused the Republican Party of conspiring to create a false narrative about the rise of crime in blue states like New York, going so far as to call the GOP “master manipulators.”

Hochul appeared on MSNBC with Al Sharpton to discuss the looming midterm elections. Sharpton didn’t give her a free ride, placing special emphasis on her challenger Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) and how New York’s crime wave has been at the core of his campaign.

After painstakingly asserting that Democrats’ gun control lust proves they aren’t soft on crime, Sharpton shocked us all and fired a tough question Hochul’s way.

“It’s been a consistent theme of his campaign ads. Is your campaign concerned that this issue might allow Zeldin to close the gap?”

“These are master manipulators,” began Hochul. “They have this conspiracy going all across America trying to convince people that in Democratic states, they’re not as safe.

Hochul took things a step further and accused the GOP of being deniers not only of election results, but of “data.”

“Well, guess what?” she asked. “They’re also not only election deniers; they’re data deniers.”

Hochul then did some data denying of her own and agreed with Sharpton’s notion that gun control equals safe streets.

“It’s the Republican states where they have almost no restrictions on guns … The safer places are the Democratic states.”

“I have faith in the voters of the state of New York, continued Hochul. “They know someone will actually be out there fighting for them and not try to arm everybody in the streets and think that’s the solution to the crime problem.”

Hochul was in data denial mode again, as the stats overwhelmingly suggest that the majority of criminals acquire their guns by burglarizing homes and cars.

It’s not only The Big Apple streets that are overwhelmed with violence. Crime is up 41% in New York’s subway system, per an October CNN report.

According to a recent poll, 64% of Americans blame “woke politicians” for the nationwide rise in crime. That includes 52% of Democrat voters.
