On Thursday, nine migrants attempting to cross the Rio Grande into the United States died in the dangerous waters at the border between the U.S. and Mexico.
Heavy rains caused a treacherous current that caused the death of the migrants engaging in the extremely dangerous crossing that thousands make each month, and that the Biden administration seems to be inviting..
The Associated Press reported that the heavy downpours added two feet to the water level in just one day. The normal depth of three feet rose to five.
U.S. crews recovered several of the bodies and those in Mexico were able to pull out the rest. Teams on the American side rescued at least 37 attempting to cross the rushing waters and detained 16 more. Mexican officials report taking 39 migrants into custody.
No information was provided as to the countries of origins for the victims. That area is quickly becoming the busiest border crossing in the southern U.S.
9 Migrants Drown In Rio Grande Seeking To Enter U.S.

Agents in July reported stopping migrants almost 50,000 times there, far ahead of the Rio Grande Valley with about 35,000 encounters.
CBP reports the 245-mile long stretch is very dangerous, even for experienced swimmers, because the water is deceptively fast, and currents can change quickly. While parts of the river can be waded, the higher water levels make it extremely hazardous, especially for those helping others.
Meanwhile, the Biden administration continues to make ludicrous claims about the border that are virtually unchecked by the mainstream media. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas recently touted the border as being “secure.”
And just days ago, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre made the staggering claim that “it’s not like somebody walks across the border.” In fact, that number is now over two million for the current fiscal year. And this dangerous area draws more and more for the attempt.
